I'd like to register my "interest" in seeing this added to the pc client. I strictly use the pc client for uploading and being able to add to facebook from here would negate me having to go into the web version to do it saving me time.
I want to echo what some other people said about allowing us to add photos to existing Facebook albums. Without that, I'm afraid this isn't too useful to me yet since I typically trickle photos into a Facebook album over the course of a couple of months before starting a new one. Also, will we ever be able to share videos with Facebook this way?

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Ah... to bad. Really it wouldn't be technically possible without some sync'ing support on Facebook's side, otherwise Phanfare would have no way of knowing that data on Facebook changed.

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Is it currently even possible, or does FB not allow this?

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

the facebook transfer moves images to facebook. comments and tags added on facebook don't get synched back.

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Cool!!! What I would like is to able to tag photos with the word facebook on my computer and have those pushed directly to facebook when uploaded. Or maybe when uploading photos using Lightroom, it could just be the ones with 5 stars get pushed to facebook. There has to be a way to do it all in a single step.

This is great. Like it a lot.

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Wow, this is just great! thank you for this upgrade...i never liked the old integration, and now I do not need to upload twice to two different sites.

Thanks Phanfare!

Feature Request: Allow photos to be added to an existing album on facebook? My facebook albums are not event-specific but rather time-specific...i.e. summer, winter, etc. So i add a few good pics from each phanfare album to facebook albums. The add to <existing album=""> feature would be great!</existing>

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Actually I don't have iPhoto '09 yet. What I meant was an iPhoto '09 plugin that could harvest face tags and put them to good use. :)

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

iPhoto 09 is supposed to work...if it does't, we will make it work.

And what about videos? Is there any support for that?

As you can tell... I'm a little excited about this.

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Dang. I didn't realize how fast and smart it was! By the time I clicked 'ok' and got to my Facebook album page, 20 photos were already up and by the time I was finished looking at a few of those, the 3rd new FB album was up.

Feature Request: Automatically dividing Phanfare with Sections into different (and differently named) Facebook albums. That would be great!

Re: Send photos directly to facebook with new Phanfare facebook app

Wow! This is great! I just gave it a try and it works really well. And the best part is that it's done on the back end. I don't have to sit there waiting while my bandwidth is being used up or my computer slows down trying to process the request. I just mark the photos and it happens. Sweet!

This is definitely an attractive new feature. Just one upload for full-res backups and genuine Facebook import!

I love the direction this is going. Here's hoping that we'll hear more about further and more steamlined integration. iPhoto '09 plugin?
